Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. The majority of her childhood listening to music from the past, boleros from the past, ranchero traditional or romantic tunes along with older classical songs. Ana loves Tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. Ana began learning and singing the piano with her mom, she began her more intensive vocal training when she was 16 with renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical training through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and when she was a professional young within Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups and choruses. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local initiatives, both as a teacher and performer, because of her enthusiasm of music and art. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can instill a passion, particularly for the young generation to keep this tradition alive.
